Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission To Evangelize The World
In the heart of Gainesville, the call to share the message of the Messiah and God’s love resounds as strongly as anywhere else in the world. Our purpose is to fulfill the mission given to all Christians to make disciples of all nations in Matthew 28:18-20, embracing the gospel, and sharing it with every individual we encounter in our community. The Gainesville International Christian Church is united as a non-denominational, Bible-based congregation, that is part of the global SoldOut Movement (International Christian Churches). Our presence is not bound by borders; rather, we are a reflection of the worldwide reach of our faith.
Across the globe, authentic biblical teachings are being administered, transcending geographical, cultural, and societal barriers. This movement extends beyond the borders of America, touching lives in diverse nations—first-world, second-world, and third-world alike. It even reaches into regions where expressing one’s faith is restricted or socially frowned upon. Discover more about our expansive international movement here. You might just uncover a local congregation in your vicinity, or near those you hold dear, who share a deep desire to draw closer to God.
Together, we can bring to Gainesville the love of Christ and foster a global movement driven by the devotion to God’s word.
Our Beliefs & Values
There are many beliefs in the world and finding the right ones can be challenging. Here are some of our core beliefs that are rooted in the Word of God.
One True God
- There is one true God who reveals himself to the world as The Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Jesus, the Son of God, is our one and only Lord and Savior, crucified for our sins and physically resurrected from the dead on the third day. - John 14:6
- Acts 4:12
- 1 Corinthians 15
The Bible Is Written By God
The Bible is the only written message of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
1 Peter 1:19-21
Saved By Grace
- A person is saved by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. A person must, through faith and obedience, reach out to receive this free gift of salvation
- Ephesians 1:1-10
- James 2:14-26
Salvation
- As with the first Christians, when a person repents and is baptized their sins are forgiven and the Holy Spirit begins to work in their life
- Acts 2:36-41
- Romans 8:5-11
Discipleship
- Only baptized disciples are members of Christ’s church
- Matthew 28:18-20
- 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
- After baptism every Christian needs to be discipled which means to be called and taught to obey the Scriptures by other Christians
- Matthew 28:20
- Every disciple must be committed to the vision of taking God’s Word to build churches by making disciples of all every nation in this generation
- Matthew 24:14
- Colossians 1:6, 23
“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.“
– 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
